Welcome to Greenfield Union School District (GFUSD). With an enrollment of approximately 9,000 students, GFUSD is the 4th largest school district in Kern County. Eight K-5 Elementary, three 6-8 Middle Schools, and one Community School allow GFUSD to accommodate a steady growth of approximately 1%-2% per year. In the past few years, we have opened 3 new elementary schools and are currently renovating and/or expanding 2 of our middle schools and building a new community school. Encompassing approximately 24 square miles, GFUSD is located in the Southeast portion of Bakersfield educating a very diverse ethnic population including 79% Hispanic, 7% Caucasian, 9% African American, and 5% other.
